John recently used customer feedback to create a number of enhancements for ServiceNow’s SAML 2.0 plugin. These enhancements include a more robust deep-linking backend, automatic Service Provide MetaData generation, as well as an easily configurable debug logging option. This enhancement is included in the June 2011 release for all customers that have an Out of the Box SAML 2.0 plugin installed.

John took the opportunity that working from home provides by moving his family to a small 12 acre ranch in Shelley, Idaho. John’s family has been busy remodeling the home as well as maintaining the ranch itself. It feels good to get out and work outside once the day’s tasks at the computer are over.

At the beginning of 2010, John Andersen decided to say goodbye to friends and colleagues at Novell in order to take his employment to a young company, Service-now.com. John spent nearly 13 years at the networking giant and had participated in a variety of technologies. Some of his most memorable Novell projects include NDS for NT, Novell Portal Services, Novell Workspace, Novell ZENworks, and Platespin Orchestrate.
