John recently became the Integrations Architect for the ServiceNow sales/pre-sales organization. Responsibilities include creating Proof of Concept integrations for complex situations, enabling the sales organization around integrations, and managing partner integration relationships.

After years of working with ServiceNow, John Andersen made it official by taking the Certified System Administrator exam. He was relieved that his experience paid off as he passed the exam and received the certification.

John Andersen received his ITIL Foundation certificate in December of 2011 after taking the ITIL Foundations course from Pink Elephant.

John attended the second ever Developer Boot Camp at ServiceNow. Training included plugins, coding standards, architecture, CMS, runbook automation, and integrations. Esteemed developers from the company taught the various subjects.

John recently used customer feedback to create a number of enhancements for ServiceNow’s SAML 2.0 plugin. These enhancements include a more robust deep-linking backend, automatic Service Provide MetaData generation, as well as an easily configurable debug logging option. John took the opportunity that working from home provides by moving his family to a small 12 acre ranch in Shelley, Idaho. John’s family has been busy remodeling the home as well as maintaining the ranch itself. It feels good to get out and work outside once the day’s tasks at the computer are over.

John Andersen performed research on OpenID and implemented an OpenID solution to his testing ground SEO portal that he maintains. His portal now accepts OpenID as an alternate authentication method.

John Andersen decided to take a challenging job opportunity with the Professional Services team at Service-now.com. John’s title changed from Engineering Manager to Senior Consultant. He will specialize in product integrations.
