John Andersen was born to Lynn and JoAnn Andersen in 1974. He was raised on a 3,000 acre dry farm in Arbon Valley, Idaho. John spent his summers working in the fields and mountain ranges. During the school year, John attended Malad High School. In 1992, John graduated as the class Valedictorian with several awards and high honors.

After High School, John attended Brigham Young University studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. After his Freshman year, John accepted a two year assignment to Santa Catarina, Brazil to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. John resumed his schooling in the beginning of 1996. During his Junior year at BYU, John accepted a job working for Novell, Inc. While working for Novell, John received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 1999.

John has served in a variety of positions at Novell, Inc. His first year was spent performing quality assurance testing on Novell’s client for Microsoft workstations. John’s interests soon turned to test automation. Since 1998, John has specialized in a variety of automation practices. He has presented automation techniques and trainings to schools and groups in the area. John has managed several teams at Novell and has served on a number of committees for the company.

In John’s spare time he has built a number of Internet business ventures. The most current being online flag, flagpole, and flag display case retailer, Anthem Flag & Gift. He also designed and manages the premiere online wish list service, WishTips.com.

In 2005, John extended his business interests by enrolling at Utah State University in the Masters of Business Administration program. In June of 2008, John received his MBA degree.

John currently serves as the Integrations Architect for the ServiceNow.com Sales Team. John enjoys tackling tough technical challenges, training others on product capabilities, and working talking with prospects and customers.

Despite the busy schedule, John strives to spend quality time with his beautiful wife, Amber, and their six children.
